Welch Place is a 30-unit permanent supportive housing development focusing on single adults that will begin leasing in late 2026. The Minnesota Housing funding award was accepted in December 2023. Construction started in December of 2024, with Watson-Forsberg as the general contractor.
Minnesota Housing provided significant funding through Housing Infrastructure Appropriations (HIA), which are direct state appropriations not associated with bond issuing or the state and federal requirements related to tax-exempt bonds.
