Recovery/Cultural Support Coordinator (Bemidji, MN)

Overview:
The Recovery/Cultural Support Coordinator position actively participates in carrying out the mission of CCHC by providing direct support to tenants of a supportive housing apartment building serving homeless families, youth, single adults and/or chronic public inebriates. The Recovery/Cultural Support Coordinator provides direct services as a member of a team and implements the program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies. This position will assist the Site Director with general operation of the building including all aspects of property management.  In the absence of the Site Director the person in this role will be responsible for the general operation of the building including the supervision of staff.

Preferred Experience:
This position requires a unique combination of social skills as well as property management experience. This person, as a member of a team, will work with contracted employees and case managers to create, implement, and monitor tenant progress and programming. This position requires effective customer service skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants, co-workers, community partners, and others. This position requires flexibility in schedule. Degree in related field preferred with at least one year of experience working with population. This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Early Childhood Program Coordinator (Rochester, MN)

Center City Housing Corp. is looking for candidates to fill our full-time position in Rochester, MN as Early Childhood Program Coordinator for Gage East Apartments.

This position works closely with the Supportive Housing Case Managers to provide comprehensive services to parents/guardians and their children living in transitional or permanent supportive housing.   The Early Childhood Program Coordinator provides programming on site for children from birth through four years old, facilitates parent/guardian groups addressing the needs of children, and refers to community services. As a member of the service team, the Early Childhood Program Coordinator works in partnership with the Case Managers to provide whole family supportive services.   In addition to other duties, the Early Childhood Program Coordinator provides supervision and direction to the TOTs program staff.  The person in this role will work closely with community agencies to develop positive relationships.  This position also works with the Site Director to implement grant-funded activities and complete programming evaluation.

A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a minimum of one year experience working with low-income and homeless children and families is preferred.  Experience supervising others is required.  This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation, and must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Front Desk/Tenant Assistant Coordinator (Duluth, MN)

Center City is looking for this full-time position with our Duluth programs, officed in our San Marco building, 230 W 3rd St, Duluth

Overview:
The Front Desk/Tenant Assistant Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the mission of CCHC by hiring and training all Front Desk/Tenant Assistants who work at the supportive housing programs. The Front Desk/Tenant Assistant Coordinator provides services as a member of a team and implements the program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies. This position is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling and supervising all Duluth Front Desk/Tenant Assistants.

Preferred Experience:
This position requires a person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team to carry out job duties. This position requires a person who has interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully deal with tenants, employees, and the general public professionally.  The person in this position will need to work effectively with people who are inebriated and/or have active mental health issues. This position requires Human Resource Skill in order to effectively interview and hire new employees. This position requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent. Supervisory skill is also required. This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to safely navigate stairs, bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, push/pull 15 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Full-Time Gage East Youth and Family Activities Coordinator (Rochester, MN)

This position works closely with the Supportive Housing Case Managers to develop, coordinate and implement community activities both internal and external to meet the needs of the families, youth and children living at Gage East Apartments.  This position will also provide regular programming designed for school aged children.  The Youth and Family Activities Coordinator provides services as a member of a team and implements the program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies. This position also works with the Site Director to implement grant-funded activities and complete programming evaluation.

Preferred Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, recreation therapy or related field with a minimum of one year experience developing community building activities. Experience working with low income or homeless children is preferred.  This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.
