Temporary Case Manager (Duluth, MN)

This is a full-time position that will last about six months

The Case Manager position actively participates in carrying out the mission of CCHC by providing direct support to tenants of a supportive housing apartment building serving low income families and individuals. The Case Manager provides direct services as a member of a team and implements the program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies. This position will assist CCHC tenants to obtain financial resources needed to maintain housing.

The Case Manager will work as a team member with CCHC staff to effectively meet the needs of the tenants.  Case Manager must be able to work independently and effectively communicate with individuals and groups, advocate for tenants, complete progress notes and documentation as required, and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and community agencies.  At least one year of experience working with low income, mental health concerns and/or substance use disorder. This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Full-Time Cahill Place Apartments Site Director – Inver Grove Heights, MN

 Center City Housing Corp. is looking for candidates to fill our full-time position in Inver Grove Heights, MN as Site Director of the Cahill Place Apartments Family Supportive Housing building.

The Site Director is responsible for carrying out the mission of CCHC by guiding the overall operation of the supportive housing program(s) including property management and services that serve formerly homeless families with children. The Site Director will coordinate with service providers for program services that serve families with children.  This upper level management position involves ensuring the CCHC culture of treating all people with dignity and respect is established and maintained within their community of staff and clients.  This person is responsible for leading a team of employees, volunteers, and partners to carry out the property and program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies.

This position requires a unique combination of social service skills as well as property and team management experience.  A degree or equivalent experience in human services, business administration, program management, mental health or chemical dependency managerial roles, subsidized property management, or related fields is required.  Supervisory experience is also required.  This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Full-Time Assistant Property Manager Cahill Place Apartments (Inver Grove Heights, MN)

 Center City Housing Corp. is looking for candidates to fill our full-time position in Inver Grove Heights, MN as Assistant Property Manager of Cahill Place Apartments.

 The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for carrying out the mission of CCHC by managing the tenancy and upkeep of a supportive housing apartment building serving formerly homeless families, youth, single adults and/or chronic public inebriates.

Duties include:  Ensuring rapid turnover of vacant apartments, including applicant selection process and timely placement of tenants, lease up, inspections, collection of rental payment, and move out; assisting in the enforcement of house rules, and processing of appeals and evictions; completing and filing necessary paperwork; inspecting property for proper maintenance; assisting site director in all aspects of property management.

This position requires a unique combination of property management as well as social service skills.   Experience or education in subsidized property management or related fields is required.  This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Maintenance Technician – Cahill Place (Inver Grove Heights, MN)

 Center City Housing is currently hiring an individual to perform general building maintenance at our soon-to-open 40-unit Cahill Place Apartments supportive housing building in Inver Grove Heights, MN.  This person will provide maintenance services as a member of a team and implement the program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies. This position will assist the Site Director with general operation of the building including all aspects of property maintenance.

Must have general working knowledge of heating and cooling, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, and building safety to ensure systems are maintained in superior operating condition.

This position requires a person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team to carry out job duties.  The person in this role must have the skills to supervise others.  This position requires flexibility in schedule and previous building maintenance experience.  A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation is required.  This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Full-time Janitor – Cahill Place (Inver Grove Heights, MN)

Center City Housing is accepting applications for an individual to perform janitorial services at the Cahill Place Apartments in Inver Grove Heights. This position will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with general cleaning and upkeep of the building.

The person in this position must be able to work independently and as a member of a team to effectively perform duties. Responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in identifying long- and short-term cleaning and repair projects. Implement ongoing cleaning schedule that includes cleaning floors, windows, and storage spaces. Complete daily cleaning tasks. Assist in snow and ice removal from sidewalks and entryways. Assist in cleaning and preparing rooms for rental. Be familiar with tools and equipment necessary for custodial services. Prioritize and manage cleaning projects. Communicate with and relate to diverse populations. Abide by current safety regulations as defined by OSHA, Fire and Health Departments and other regulatory agencies. Must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Must be able to safely navigate stairs and ladders, bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.

The Case Manager must be able to work independently and effectively communicate with individuals and groups, advocate for tenants, complete progress notes and documentation as required, and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and community agencies.  This position requires flexibility in schedule. Degree in related field preferred with at least one year of experience working with population. This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Early Childhood Program Coordinator (Duluth, MN)

This is a full-time position with benefits.

This position works closely with the Case Managers to provide comprehensive services to parents/guardians and their children living in permanent supportive housing.   The Children’s Program Coordinator provides programming on site for children from birth through teenage, facilitates parent/guardian groups addressing the needs of children, and refers to community services. As a member of the service team, the Children’s Program Coordinator works in partnership with the Case Managers to provide whole family supportive services.   In addition to other duties, the Children’s Program Coordinator provides supervision and direction to the children’s program staff.  The role of the Children’s Program Coordinator is to work closely with community agencies to develop positive relationships to include but not limited to the Public School District, and other community support systems.  This position also works with the Site Director to implement grant-funded activities and complete programming evaluation.

Part-Time Tenant Assistant / Food Service Aide (Park Place of Bemidji, MN)

Description
Park Place of Bemidji serves formerly homeless single adults, often with active chemical dependency and/or mental illness.

As the Front Desk/Tenant Assistant this individual is the first person with whom tenants, guests, suppliers and others have contact when coming into the building and is responsible for operating the front desk/entry point for the housing program, and as the Food Service Aide you would assist the Food Service Manager/Cook in the operation of the kitchen, providing nutritious, appealing meals for the tenants of the building.

Requirements
This position requires a person who has interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully and professionally deal with tenants and the general public. Applicants must hold a high school diploma/GED equivalent and be able to pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is preferred.
