Center City Housing Corp. (CCHC) has become a valuable resource to communities and non-profit organizations who are looking to develop affordable and niche housing but don’t want to do it on their own. CCHC can assist in a variety of ways to turn a project idea into a reality. This can involve:

  • developing and owning a project development
  • leading a team through a total project development
  • taking a limited role in an overall development
  • acting as a consultant for a given project

CCHC has expertise in:

  • identifying and garnering financial resources
  • leading development teams
  • shepherding new developments as well as rehab projects
  • building supportive service programs

Our leadership staff includes:

Nancy Cashman, Executive Director
Nancy graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth and has 30 years of leadership experience in housing, social service and youth program development and implementation. As the Executive Director at Center City Housing Corp. she develops supportive housing programs for homeless men, women and families with children. She was appointed by Governor Dayton to the Minnesota Visible Child Work Group, is a Blandin Community Leadership Graduate and a was the previous chairperson of the St. Louis County Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness.

Kris Meyer, Director of Finance and Operations
Kris oversees the business operations of CCHC. She brings over 25 years of business related experience to our organization. Her previous employment includes work as Media Director for H.T. Klatzky & Associates advertising agency and Circulation Director and Manager for a nationally known award winning publishing company. Her duties include tracking all financial aspects of our business operations and directing our human resources activities. Specialty skills include: building and analyzing budgets and proformas, organizing human resources and interaction with reporting agencies.

Carla Schneider, Asset Manager
Carla brings 30 plus years of executive leadership in finance, development and property management in for profit, governmental and non-profit organizations.  As President and CEO of Bowman Properties, Carla had supervisory responsibility for a portfolio of 2000 units valued at $150 million.  In her capacity of Deputy Director at the Duluth Housing and Redevelopment Authority, Carla supervised the Finance, Rehabilitation and Housing Departments and served as the agency lesson to numerous local housing groups.  Carla has designed delivery and compliance systems for multiple state and federal programs including Public Housing, Section 8, Section 236, Section 202, Section 221, Section 223, Section 811, Rural Development, PARIF, MARIF, HOME and LIHTC.

Lori Reilly, Regional Housing Director
Lori joined CCHC in early 2007 as the Site Manager for the New San Marco Apartments, a 70 unit Supportive Housing project. Her 13 years as the Housing Manager at the Duluth YWCA and experience starting up and operating the Young Mother’s Transitional Housing Program brought CCHC a great asset. She has been an integral participant in the development projects for the San Marco and River Crest facilities. Lori is transitioning to the Regional Housing Director position where she will oversee the San Marco Apartments, the River Crest Apartments and future projects as developed.

Kira Kallberg, Regional Housing Director
Kira brings 25 years of expertise in both property management and directing and overseeing supportive housing programming for multifamily and single adult properties/programs. She has vast knowledge and experience in managing the relationships with all agencies/staff in each partnership at each property in her portfolio. She has many years of experience and knowledge working with funders’ compliance, regulations, and monitoring.  She is an expert in working with high barrier populations and supporting them in maintaining long term housing stability. Her social service skills as well as her team management experience provides her with the skills needed to supervise site directors at CCHC Family Supportive Housing programs.

CCHC prides itself in identifying the unique and specialized needs of diverse clients and knows the importance of responsible, cost-effective service.
